This recording is a guided constructive rest lie down: a 10-minute guided lesson that you can use on your own. Instructions for how to set yourself up for Constructive Rest are below.
This daily practice will help you rest and restore your mind and body!
1. Find a time every day that you can lie down on your back for 10-15 minutes. Use a timer.
2. Choose a carpeted floor or use a yoga mat padded with towels or a blanket. Use some support for your head, such as a paperback book of about 1-2 inches or a folded towel (not a pillow).
3. Lie down on your back with your knees bent and your hands on your belly for 10-15 minutes. If you need to support your legs on pillows or a chair, or use other supports, that’s fine.
4. Practice quieting your thinking and awakening your spatial awareness, and any other concepts that you’re working on in your lessons, or use this recording to help you get started.
Enjoy this time to rest and restore!
